Parental training
Parenting education promotes the use of positive parenting practises, such as using positive language, planned discipline, and family practises. It also increases parents’ knowledge of child development and communication styles.
Parent training has many benefits for parents, children, and families. This service can help parents learn about effective ways to improve their child’s capacities, manage challenging behaviours, and support their child’s growth and development.
Hitting, slapping, or pinching children for the purpose of discipline, is generally not considered to be injurious to children. In fact, it is typically regarded as a protective measure, necessary for children’s moral and educational development by parents. Most parents believe that physical punishment is beneficial and necessary for children.
Raising Awareness
It has been proven that children who are exposed to violence both physical and verbal at home suffer from fear, anxiety, depression, poor health, insecurity, low self-esteem, feelings of isolation, which, in extreme cases, can lead to self-harm.
We hope our parental training project will provide a child-friendly home for many children in Timor-Leste. We will raise public awareness about the effects of violence against children
Realising Potential
Due to a lack of training, verbal abuse is a very common form of child abuse in most countries including Timor-Leste. A few examples are excessive criticism, name-calling, making jokes about children, yelling, screaming, and swearing at them, constantly comparing them to other children, threatening to hurt them, and blaming them for things that are out of their control.

School
By becoming a School sponsor, you help the emotional, social, personal, and academic growth and development of children. Research has shown that children who attend preschool are more likely to have better school readiness skills than those who do not.
Parental Training
Sponsor Parental and Teacher Training in Timor-Leste is one of the easiest ways to improve the lives of 70% of children who have no opportunity to receive preschool and kindergarten education.
